- What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Honestly, it is the incredible variety in our business. Every day presents a different challenge and the opportunity to make enduring impact somewhere new. My last month has been a perfect example of this as I have had the chance to advise clients on major growth strategies across 5 very different industries including travel, digital commerce, energy, retail and luxury.
- In your own words, what do you do at Lippincott?
I have two roles here at the firm. The first is to ensure that we bring our best to our clients every day across every interaction. This manifests itself in many ways both big and small — but ultimately ladders up to helping our clients realize the full potential of their business through revenue growth or margin expansion. My second role is to run our commercial operations west of the Rockies. This centers on ensuring we have the best talent, resources and processes to support our clients as effectively as possible.
- Since you began your career, what’s changed the most about the industry?
I think the speed of change and disruption for our clients is faster than it has ever been. And, this speed of change will only accelerate going forward. As a result, our clients have to be more aware of the market, quicker to identify opportunities and threats, and nimble enough to take action against them. The strong will still survive, of course, but strength will be defined in new ways such as a company’s ability to innovate and create relevance through a series of ever frequent disruptions.
- For you, what makes Lippincott a special place to work?
